Bilateral renal and psoas shadow are well outlined. No evidence of any radio opaque shadow suggestive of calculus seen. IVP was performed after administration of 50cc of non-ionic contrast media intravenously. 5 miutes film reveal bilateral symmetrical nephrographic pattern. Bilateral kidneys are normal in size shape position & outlined. Pelvicalyceal system is dilated on the left side with evidence of calyceal blunting. The left ureter is dilatd upto the uretero vesical junction with persistant hold up due to calculus at the left VUJ. Right pelvicalyceal system is normal and the right ureter is normal in course and caliber. Urinary bladder is well distended. No evidence of any wall irregularity/filling defect noted. Post void residual urine is insignificant. OPINION: FINDINGS ARE SUGGESTIVE OF BILATERAL NORMAL EXCRETORY KIDNEYS. MILD HYDRONEPHROSIS AND HYDROURETER LEFT SIDE DUE TO LEFT VUJ CALCULUS. Please correlate clinically & with other investigations.
