INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS:
•	Specimens with S/CO values < 1.00 are considered negative by the criteria of AxSYM HIV 1/2 gO. 
•	Samples with S/CO values greater than or equal to 1.00 are considered reactive BY THE CRITERIA OF AxSYM HIV 1/2 gO . 

LIMITATIONS OF THE PROCEDURE :
•	It is recognized  that presently available methods for the detection of antibodies to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 may not detect all infected individuals. A negative test result does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HIV-1 and/or HIV-2.
•	The AxSYM HIV 1/2 gO assay does not discriminate between  HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 antibody reactivity.
*  The presence of HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 antibodies is not a diagnosis of AIDS. It is recommended that repeatedly reactive specimens be investigated by supplemental testing. Individuals who are repeatedly reactive should be referred for medical evaluation which may include additional testing.
